Easter basket ideas and memories

Easter basket ideas are fun to think of. I used to have so much fun making my kids easter baskets. These memories bring me joy! Then as they got older, it became a little more challenging. When kids are past the little Five and Dime toy stage, chocolate filled plastic eggs and marshmallow chicks, what do you put in their Easter baskets? This year I have a new idea for Easter baskets! This is especially good for those who would prefer to avoid a basket full of chocolates. How about pampering your sweeties with natural bath and body products instead? The lip mend is especially great for all ages. The soaps and bath bombs are awesome for preteens and teens and older kids too! Easter basket ideas

I found these natural products, made the old fashioned way. And they are Made in the USA! Each batch of soap is meticulously mixed by hand then lovingly shaped into a unique artistic design. These products are not only pleasing to the eye, but are brimming over with completely natural essential nutrients and luscious moisturizing agents. I am now hooked on the way they make my skin feel. My daughters love them too!

Easter basket ideas and memories of Easter morning

What I remember most about Easter with my kids was going to mass in the morning to celebrate Jesus rising from the dead. Easter is always a happy day for me!  When my girls were little, they always wore their Easter bonnets of course and pretty new dresses. After we got home from church, we would have a feast of our favorite breakfast recipes. Pumpkin Bread was one of their favorites along with Kuchen. While I got everything ready, the kids would look for their Easter baskets which the Easter bunny hid the night before. Silly Rabbit! This was always fun watching the kids run around trying to see who could find their basket first.

Watching the kids ‘open’ their baskets, looking through all the fun things ‘The Easter Bunny’ had put in them. As they got older, the Easter bunny magically knew to include all of their favorite things, like nail polish, razors and make-up remover wipes. There would be fun new socks, small toys like rubik’s cubes, yo-yo’s (on sale here!)  and slinky’s! Sometimes a new baseball hat or small game or toy. Playing cards is a favorite past time for me and my kids, so a deck of cards  made great basket stuffers! Easter basket ideas

Other memories of easter include having neighborhood Easter egg hunts. I was famous for hostingEaster basket ideasthem since we had a really big yard. I would make homemade desserts, like blondie bars, my famous pumpkin bread mini muffins and cut out cookies shaped like bunnies, crosses, chicks and easter eggs, all decorated in bright colors. We would have hot chocolate for the kids and coffee and tea for the adults… [ok and sometimes adult beverages too]. Easter in NH was never predictable. It could be sunny and warm one year and snowing the next! Easter basket ideas

Easter basket ideas for adults:

And my last fun idea for an adult Easter basket, is a basket of WINE! Who would not love to receive a basket of artisan wines from around the world! Add to that a subscription for a monthly wine delivery for that special someone in your life! Great ideas for adult children, mothers, grandmothers and friends. Dress up the basket and add some cheese and crackers and/or chocolates! Lindt Chocolate truffles are my favorite! The also look pretty sprinkled in a basket of wine or bath products! The ideas are endless…Easter basket ideas
